IS IT TIME FOR A CHANGE? 55 YEARS OF TIME AND SPACE AND WE  FINALLY  HAVE A FEMALE DOCTOR. SINCE 1963, we have always had a male playing The Doctor. This was because it was seen as the 'Normal' thing to do, also the majority of The Doctors companions were always female. People may see this as a feminist move by the BBC. However, it may not necessarily be considered as feminism due to the fact The Doctor regenerates and it is genetically random to what happens so it would be seen as 'natural' for The Doctor to change gender, as The Doctors facial features have changed in aged in the past. There has been comments such as 'Sorry, but it's not doctor who for me.' However, people who have previously been on doctor who e.g. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are supporting Jodie Whittaker all the way. At the end they are all on stage showing the fact they are living the 'dream' the elephant is seen as the princess also getting to Africa. The Villan is seen as the zoo/zookeepers. Rise of the cybermen ending: At the beginning of the ending scene starts off bad as the party got crashed by cybermen. everyone who is then 'deleted' is seen as the victim but especially the president of Great Britain. When Rose The Doctor and Pete manage to leave they man...

Time for a change! For my article, I will write about the doctor being a woman and how people feel about it and what made the BBC choose a woman for the doctor. Also how since the 60's its been a male doctor and female companions and how its now the other way around. I'll also be comparing it to how it accepts more things now e.g. Captain Jack and Bill Pots being homosexual. the articles I'll be referring to are https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45664170 https://www.quora.com/What-is-your-opinion-of-the-13th-Doctor-Jodie-Whittaker https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2017/jodie-whittaker-13-doctor https://metro.co.uk/2017/07/31/jenna-coleman-throws-her-weight-behind-genius-decision-to-cast-jodie-whittaker-as-first-female-doctor-6819900/ Jenna Coleman has thrown her weight behind Jodie Whittaker’s casting as the new Time Lord, declaring a female Doctor is ‘genius’. Jenna, 31, has now given Jodie her full support, declaring of ...
